All of us want to feel happy and full of enthusiasm. For some of us though, happiness and feeling enthusiastic are impossible; in fact it may seem like it is a million miles away. We have no drive or ambition, and dread getting out of bed to face a new day.
For us, our lives are just one big parade of responsibilities, work, and obligations, with no emotional payday in sight. To make matters worse, we may not have a logical reason to feel empty, sad, or depressed, and we also might question our own character as being to blame.
Does this sound like you? We have been there too, and The People's Republic of Depression is not a pleasant country in which to be a citizen.
In case you are just becoming aware of your condition, you are not going crazy or losing sanity, although it certainly feels like it. You may have clinical depression. The way to know for sure is a visit to a doctor or specialist, who is a psychiatrist.

Clinical Depression Our Role as Support
We are fellow sufferers, not licensed professionals, and our site is for education and encouragement. Our mastery of this subject is from successful experience over it, and not from a college classroom. We seek to support and act as a complement to professional medical and psychological care.
Why? Because the vast majority of information surrounding your situation you do not have to pay your caregiver sixty dollars an hour to tell you. We wish to educate so that visits to your doctor can be much more productive and better spent covering new ground on your specific situation.
Your doctor should be your therapist, not your teacher for basic Emotional Psychology 101; which is inefficient waste of his valuable time and expensive for you!
Clinical Depression Working with Your Doctor
Feel free to refer any page here to your therapist as an assist to his or her efforts. The professional clinicians are the generals, and we seek to act as their infantry.
Clinical Depression A Simple Overview
Stated simply, depression can come from medical need, but most often comes from emotional abuse, or needs from a missing parent. There are pages here which address these situations specifically. Our emotional needs are always acted out in our relationships.
Those with depression often have dysfunctional or abusive relationships along with it. We can work on our depression and anxiety conditions by healing our relationships at the same time.
Clinical Depression and Anxiety
Anxiety and stress, over time will cause depression due to the emotional fatigue. We can only remain stressed for so long before exhaustion sets in. At this point we need restoration, both physically and spiritually.
Alternatively, depressive outlook can cause anxiety as we begin to question our mental state and character. We begin to wonder, 'what is wrong with me?' That would be a normal response. If you have asked yourself that, you are not lacking in character, strength or moral virtue.
Clinical Depression can be thought of as a barren wasteland, or land of bondage, where nothing constructively can be achieved, like Egypt in the Bible. It encompasses our whole world, and affects everything we do. It influences every relationship we have. It affects our health, finances, and can get in the way of our finding what God has promised for us.
Hopefully this is where we, and other sites like ours, come in to change all that. You can be victorious over this depression, anxiety, or stress, which are all spiritual cancers.
We want you to find your Promised Land of Happiness. Your road will be winding, and at times difficult, but soon will appear a pleasant valley as you walk over some rise, and then your trek will end.
This sunny valley will have a river running through it, and will be your new emotional home, with all the happiness, love and friends that one could ever dream of.
This is God's Promise, and it is our passion to walk with you along this rough, cobbled road for a while, until we are not needed any more.
You will get there!
